My Friends Call Me K…
Years ago, I fell in love with the practice of yoga. When I started, I was a struggling teacher and I said yes to every opportunity to grow. Fast forward to today, and I am now an EYRT 200-hour instructor with nearly 13,000 hours of experience over the last 10 years. (See More about my practice here)
I have a profound love affair with all and any music…with the loving exception of most country songs (Nelson, Cline, Cash, Guthrie, Rogers, and Parton excluded of course) ... My yoga playlists are predictably unpredictable, and for the most part, unedited. Come in with an open mind and let the music wash over your breath-to-movement flow.
When I’m not teaching, generally I am still in the studio formerly as a GM, recently as Operations Director for a not-for-profit resource center, a consultant for restaurants and bars, and an overall mistress of all trades and master of none.
I endeavor to travel the world, in its entirety and have a deep wanderlust. I am currently trying to satiate that craving by leading yoga retreats around the globe in the hopes of sharing my love for discovery with my students.
While I am at home, you can find me playing with my two dogs, Marlon Francis Brando and Zulu Cook, and my cat Augustus Stone Altamura. I live in the mountains of Colorado and love spending time on hikes at high altitudes, hanging at the gym, being a workaholic, and spending as much time as possible with friends. Live music is a must as well!
My life goal is to take those I know and grow an ever-expanding web of energy, making friends, and bringing friends together. My goal is to, in some small measure, leave this world better than I found it.
